Classes:

• Class 1: Ages 1–11

• Class 2: Ages 12–20

• Class 3: Age 21 and older

Compete in the age group of the oldest person riding in the sled. You may race the same sled in multiple classes if eligible.

Rules:

• Build your sled using only cardboard, tape, and glue.

• Decorate with paint, crayons, markers, etc.

• No wood, plastic, rope, staples, or metal allowed. No added weight—sleds with prohibited materials will be disqualified.

• Keep designs family friendly—no profanity.

• Costumes encouraged! Have fun!

• Push starts only—no running starts.

• 2–3 sleds race at a time in a process of elimination format.

• If your sled tips over, push it over the finish line to win!

Prizes:

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each class

• Best decorated sled in each class

Raffle:

• $10 per ticket

• Drawing at the completion of the derby

• Prizes:

  • 1st: $1,000

  • 2nd: $500

  • 3rd: $250

  • 4th: 2026–2027 Individual Season Pass to Royal Mountain
